Coach Lucy Coach Lucy: Head Coach, and Level 4 Coach

Lucy (SiPei) Le is one of the premier age group coaches in the State of New Jersey and has been coaching swimmers for over 20 years. Her swimmers have achieved many top placements, including USA Top Sixteen and Top Eight at Zone meets for their age groups, and numerous Zone and JO times. Coach Lucy has trained swimmers in China who have won at the Asia Games, the National Championships, and the Junior National Games. She was a member of the Chinese National Swim Team and China’s Olympic Team between 1980 and 1984. She was Chinese national champion in the 200 meter butterfly in 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, and 1984, and a National Record-holder for five years, breaking the national record more than ten times and eight times winning the title of National Champion.

Coach Jen Coach Jen: Level 5 Senior Coach

Jen (Ying-Juan) Zhen was the Head Coach for the Aloha Aquatics Association before joining X-Cel. Her swimmers have achieved State Champion and Zone times in their age groups, and dominated the first and the second place slots in all strokes in the State of Hawaii. She had also coached Iolani and Aulea Swim Clubs. While she was a student at University of Hawaii, she was the WAC Champion in the 100 meter backstroke, and placed 2nd in the 200 meter backstroke. Coach Jen was a member of the Chinese National Swim Team and was ranked first in the World in 1998 for the event of 100 meter backstroke with the time 1:00.21 and 200 meter backstroke with the time 2:08.54.

Coach RobK Coach Rob:  Level 3 coach

Coach Rob has coached in NJ for the past 26 years: 4 years at St. Peters College, 10 years at Ridgewood YMCA, 8 years at Somerset Hills YMCA and 4 years at Somerset Valley YMCA. During his years at SPC Coach Rob coached St. Peters 1st NCAA Division I Swimming Championship qualifier. During his tenure at RY, SHY, & SVY he has produced countless YMCA State and Junior Olympic champions. Coach Rob has also coached many NJ record holders both in YMCA & USS Swimming. Many of Coach Robs swimmers have continued on to high levels of success in the older age brackets and at the collegiate level. Many of Robs swimmers have gone onto qualifying for USS Junior & Senior Nationals, YMCA Nationals Championships and Olympic Trials. Coach Rob has served as an assistant coach for the NJ ALL-STAR ZONE SWIMMING TEAM along with being its HEAD COACH many times. As the head coach at St. Peters College Rob was awarded COACH OF THE YEAR honors in 1983. Coach Rob was also the Age Group Chairman for NJ Swimming for 4 years and has served on numerous USS National Swimming Committees. As a swimmer, Rob swam for the University of Miami (FLA.) and qualified for the NCAA Division 1 Swimming Championships in the 100 & 200 backstroke. Rob is married and lives with his wife Trish, daughter Olivia and his Chocolate Lab "COACH" in Raritan NJ.

Coach Vadim Coach Vadim:  Level 2 Coach

Vadim is attending Rutgers University studying Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Research. Vadim is active swimming and volunteering activities. He is a member of the "Relay For Life" organization, and is a lifeguard at Princeton University.

Coach Jessica Coach Jessica: Level 1 Coach

Coach Jessica has taught swimming lessons at YMCA for several years. She was the captain of the her college swim team at New York University.
