Championship Season
Championship
season is now upon us! There are a few things we must remember in order to have
a successful conclusion to our short course season.
1. If you wear a cap you must wear an X-CEL cap! No other cap is acceptable!
2. Have your bag packed the night before
the meet. Goggles, towels, clothing, snacks, etc.
3. STRETCH, STRETCH,
STRETCH!
4. Know what events you are swimming
that day! Be prepared! Check website
to know all events and what day they are on.
5. Have your water bottle with you and
stay hydrated
throughout the meet, even at home in the evening. Drink fluids! NO SODA!!!
6. Have clothing with you to stay warm. Warm muscles will perform better. Wear shoes or sneakers.
7. Snacks- have food with you so you may
eat during the course of the meet. SMART
FOOD- fruit, veggies, bagel, sandwich. NO
CANDY!
8. Stay focused. Know where you should
be at all times. Do not miss an event!
9. ALWAYS COOL DOWN AFTER YOUR EVENT (if pool is available)
and SEE
A COACH TO DISCUSS YOUR SWIM!

Relay- Am I swimming in a relay? Always
check with a coach before you leave the facility

MOST IMPORTANTLY—HAVE FUN!! SWIM FAST!!
