In Burdgorff meet, Patrick Park achieved 5 First Place; Serena Deardorff achieved 50Fly 5th place, 50back and 100fly 8th place; Jennifer Enos achieved 100back 8th place; Rebecca Lewinson achieved 200breast 4th place, 100breast 7th place.

In Winter Blizzard meet, many swimmers achieved new JO times:

In Winterfest meet, Ceara Bowman achieved a JO time in her 200 back.

Winter Blizzard to be held on Jan. 14-15, 2006 at GCIT. the 11-14 500 Free and the 11-14 400 IM were changed from the last event of Saturday and Sunday to the afternoon of each day. Warm-ups for the 11-14 500 Free starts at 12:00. Positive check-in is at 12:30. The 400 IM events will start at 1:00 and positive check-in is 1:05. Both of these events were initially scheduled after 200 yard events.

Coach Rob will coach level two swimmers and he will be starting on Jan. 13, 2006. Coach Rob would like to meet with the level two parents on Jan. 18 at 6:00 pm to discuss his training plans for our level two swimmers. For more information about Coach Rob, click here.

Congratulations to all swimmers who competed in the meets of NJ State and Holiday Classic. Everyone has worked very hard up to this point and it paid off tremendously. In Holiday Classic Meet, Achived Section time were Rebecca Lewinson in Women 13-14 200 Yard Breaststroke 2:29.49; Evelyn Yuen in Women 100 Yard Breaststroke 1:06.90; Achived record breakers were Patrick Park and Alex Field, New Records; Patrick Park achived Frist Place in 8 of 9 events he had in Boys 10 & under. In NJ State Meet, John Stauffer achived Top 5th Individual Scores in 6 & under Boys; Megan Lydzinski achived Top 5th Individual Scores in 11-12 Girls.

We have two great candidates who are willing to run for the board of X-Cel Swimming. Please mark your choice,
and bring the form in a sealed envelope to practice. Gan Ju Shei will be collecting the forms on Thursday (12/15/05),
Maureen Bowman will take them on Friday. Frank Halpin will be at the State Meet this weekend,

Level 1 will have their party on Monday, Dec. 12th, following practice.
Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 will have their party on Wednesday, Dec. 14th, following practice.
Pizza and drinks will be provided. It would be great if each swimmer could bring either a dessert or chips/snacks.

Several stroke and turn clinics are being offered during November for parents who are interested in becoming a stroke and turn official. Being an official is a great way to help the sport of swimming, and to make the meets that we attend run smoother. Without officials, there could be no swim meets. If you are interested in knowing more about officiating, several X-Cel parents are officials that you can contact: Sarah Ferguson (sferguson@myprinceton.net), Karen Fagard, Deanna Field, Jan Loughran, Margo Noisten, Teresa Samtur, or Jack Zhang. If you plan to attend, please make reservations with the instructor indicated.

With the exception of Aquablade suits and items needing embroidery, team apparel orders have arrived. The remaining items should be in by the end of the month. Please see Ed or Deanna Field for pickup.

Congratulations to Alex Field who is currently listed in the Top 16 rankings for the boys 11/12 200 Breaststroke LCM!! The final list of the rankings will publish on November 1st. The annual Top 16 rankings list the 16 fastest swimmers in the USA by age group and event. To be eligible for the Top 16 list, a swimmer must have equaled or swum faster than the National Reportable Time (NRT). For an overview of USA Swimming's Top 16 Program, click here. The short course meet schedule has been posted, click here. Team meets have now been selected. Please note that although every effort will be made for a coach to attend the mini-meets with the younger swimmers, this may not always be possible because of the need for the coaches to also supervise practice on some of the same weekends.
