X-Cel Swimming Announces Team Performance at 2010 Holiday Classic XXIV

 

Princeton, NJ, - X-Cel Swimming broke six individual and two relay team records at 2010 Holiday Classic XXIV. The meet was held on December 10-11 2010 at Sonny Werblin Recreation Center Pool in Rutgers University. The top results follow.

In the 10 and under age group, Carolyn Vaca, 10, placed eighth in the 500 free (6:29.29) and Allison Chou, 9, placed sixteenth in the 100 fly (1:19.45).

 
In the 11-12 age group, Emily Huang, 12, placed second in the 50 free (26.23). Huang also placed third in the 200 IM (2:17.22), fourth in the 200 back (2:16.97), fifth in the 400 IM (4:55.02) and 100 IM (1:05.22), seventh in the 100 back (1:03.51) and eighth in the 100 free (56.68) and 200 free (2:05.78).  Huang broke team’s record in both 100 and 200 back. Madeleine Deardorff, 12, placed twelfth in the 200 IM (2:25.72), thirteenth in the 100 Fly and sixteenth in the 500 free (5:46.03). Kara Lydzinski, 12, placed seventeenth in both 100 breast (1:15.59) and 50 free (27.10). Melinda Tang, 11, placed twentieth in 200 IM (2:27.31). Eric Tong, 12, placed twentieth in the 50 breast (36.63).
 
In the 11-12 girls’ relay, Emily Hung, Kara Lydzinski, Madeleine Deardorff and Melinda Tang set up new team record in both 400 medley relay (4:25.91) and 400 free relay (3:58.30). 
 
In the 13-14 age group, Colburn Yu, 14, placed fifth in both100 breast (1:03.36) and 200 breast (2:17.50) and both broke team’s records. Samantha Chan, 13, placed twelfth in the 200 breast.
 
In the 15 and over age group, Megan Lydzinski, 17, placed first in the 100 free (50.91), ninth in the 200 free (1:53.26) and thirteenth in the 200 free. Anna Marshall, 17, placed fourth in the 200 breast (2:23.59) and ninth in the 100 breast (1:06.95). Patrick Park, 15, placed fifth and broke team’s record in the 100 fly (51.92). Park also placed fifth in the 100 fly (51.92) and eleventh in the 200 fly (1:57.60). Addison Hebert set up new team record in 1650 free (17:19.39). 
 
In the 15 and over girls’ relay, Shawnee Gundry, Anna Marshall, Serena Deardorff and Megan Lydzinski also set up new team record in 200 medley relay (1:50.88).
