X-Cel Swimming Proudly Announces Top Eight Finishes at 12/Under Silver Bronze Championships

Princeton, NJ-  Congratulations to X-Cel Swimmers for their achievements at the 12/Under Long Course Silver Bronze Championships!  There were many personal bests and several Gold Time finishes!  The event was held at Princeton University, July 16-17.  Top eight results follow:

In the 10 and under age group, Anna Cao, 10, achieved a sixth place gold time in the 100 breast (1:45.94).  Spencer Chen, 10, swam to a second place gold in the 100 breast (1:45.31) and placed fourth in the 50 breast (51.57).  Allison Chou, 10, placed second in the 50 back (43.00), fourth in the 100 breast (1:44.00) and eighth in the 400 free (6:20.60) and swam to an eighth place gold time in the  50 free (36.04).  Alexandra Comaniciu, 10, achieved a fourth place gold in the 100 back (1:30.03).  Martin Long, 9, finished fourth in the 50 back (44.16).  Ashley Own, 10, swam to a second place gold in the 50 breast (48.70).  Richard Yuan, 10, placed fourth in the 200 IM (3:20.00). 

In the 11-12 age group, David Chang, 12, placed fifth in the 200 fly (3:19.09).  Eric Li, 11, achieved a fourth placed gold time in the 200 back (2:57.10).  Michael Liu, 12, swam to a second place gold in the 50 back (37.67) and achieved a sixth place gold in the 50 fly (36.53).  Jackie Ngu, 11, placed first in the 100 fly (1:20.73) and eighth in both the 50 free (32.55) and 200 breast (3:23.80).  Tanga Yash, 11, placed eighth in the 400 free (5:31.91).  Leslie Zhang, 12, achieved a sixth place gold in the 200 fly (3:05.92) and placed eighth in the 50 breast (43.59).  Michael Zhong, 11, achieved a third place gold in the 50 back (38.28), placed sixth in the 200 fly (3:05.92) and eighth in the 100 back (1:21.89).  Rachel Zhou, 12, placed fourth in the 50 fly (35.79), achieved a fifth place gold in the 200 back (2:53.62) and seventh in both the 50 free (32.70) and 200 IM (2:54.51).

In the 10 and under girls’ 200 free relay:  Morgan Linsley, Ashley Own, Alexandra Comaniciu and Allison Chou placed sixth (2:34.23). In the 10 and under boys’ 200 free relay:  Oliver Tang, Martin Long, Michael Krigeris and Spencer Chen placed seventh (2:48.51).

In the 12 and under girls’ 200 free relay:  Rachel Zhou, Emily Ren, Vanessa Lerner and Leslie Zhang placed sixth (2:16.90).
