X-Cel Swimming Breaks Records at Fall Festival of X-Cellence

 

Princeton, NJ, November 18-20, 2011 - X-Cel Swimming is pleased to announce results for swimmers who finished among the Top 8 in their events at the recently held           Fall Festival of X-Cellence. New team records were set by Eric Tong in the 11-12 age group menÕs 50 free (24.97) and by Ethan Vaca, Richard Deng, Allan Wang and James Wu in the 13-14 age group menÕs 200 Free Relay (1:39.85). The event was held at Princeton UniversityÕs DeNunzio pool, November 18-20.

 

In the 10 and under age group, Spencer Chen, 10, placed fifth in the 200 IM (3:03.09) and seventh in 500 free (7:23.63). Alison Chou, 10, won third in 500 free (6:56.49) and seventh in 100 breast (1:31.35). Alexandra Comaniciu,10, placed sixth in 200 IM (2:50.76). Martin Long, 10, won eighth in 200 IM (3:12.35). Ashley Own, 10, placed fifth in 100 breast (1:29.25) and 500 free (7:00.83). Oliver Tang, 10, won seventh in    200 IM (3:07.92). Richard Yuan, 10, placed first in 50 back (33.29), second in 200 IM (2:49.01) and fourth in 500 free (6:54.94). Yuan also won sixth in 100 back (1:15.90) and seventh in 100 fly (1:21.08). Grace Zhang, 10, placed sixth in 500 free (7:18.44).

 

In the 11-12 age group, Jacqueline Ngu, 12, placed second in both 200 back (2:18.01) and 100 back (1:05.08). Ngu also won sixth in 500 free (5:43.51) and seventh in 100 fly (1:06.98). Ajay Sarathy, 12, placed sixth in 200 breast (2:43.99). Eric Tong, 12, won second and set a new team record in the 50 free (24.97).  Tong also placed third in the following events: 200 back (2:15.09), 100 breast (1:12.83) and 100 back (1:03.58). Tong also placed fifth in 200 IM (2:20.66) and 500 free (5:36.18). Leslie Zhang, 12, won fifth in 200 breast (2:45.38). Michael Zhong, 12, placed fifth in both   200 fly (2:27.25) and 100 fly (1:06.46). Zhong also won sixth in 500 free (5:36.32).

 

In the 13-14 age group, Samantha Chan, 14, won third place in 200 breast (2:33.09), fourth in 400 IM (4:54.14) and sixth in 100 breast (1:12.00). Madeleine Deardorff, 13, placed third in 200 fly (2:12.84), fifth in 400 IM (4:54.74) and sixth in 100 fly (1:03.96). Deardorff also won eighth in 500 free (5:29.69) and 200 IM (2:20.52). Frewin Hu, 14, won seventh in 200 fly (2:24.49). Emily Hung, 13, placed seventh in 50 free (25.98) and eighth in both 200 back (2:17.90) and 400 IM (4:57.56).

 

In the senior age group, Serena Deardorff, 16, won first in 100 fly (57.82), 400 IM (4:41.78) and 200 IM (2:12.34). Deardorff also placed third in 50 free (24.75) and 200 fly (2:12.84) and seventh in 100 back (1:01.22). Jennifer Enos, 16, won eighth in 500 free (5:22.98). Lincoln Harris, 16, won seventh in 400 IM (4:26.15) and eighth in 500 free (4:58.42). Addison Hebert, 17, placed fourth in 50 free (22.26) and eighth in 100 fly (55.02). Megan Lydzinski, 17, won first in 50 free (24.52) and 100 free (52.35). Anna Marshall, 17, placed second in 100 breast (1:08.23) and fifth in 400 IM (4:46.39). Cori Michibata, 17, won third in 100 back (1:00.13) and fifth in both 200 IM (2:13.07) and 100 free (54.12). Colburn Yu, 15, placed eighth in 100 breast (1:02.42).

 

In the 10 & under 200 Medley Relay, the girlsÕ team, Alexandra Comaniciu, Ashley Own, Allison Chou and Morgan Linsley placed fourth (2:23.68).  In the boysÕ team, Martin Long, Spencer Chen, Richard Yuan and Oliver Tang placed fifth (2:31.59).
In the boysÕ 11-12 200 Medley Relay, Eric Tong, Ajay Sarathy, Michael Zhong and Michael Liu placed third (2:02.95).

 

 

In the 13-14 200 Medley Relay, the girlsÕ team, Emily Hung, Samantha Chan, Madeline Deardorff and Kara Lydzinski placed fourth (1:57.37).  In the boysÕ team, James Wu, Christian Chiang, Allan Wang and Frewin Hu placed seventh (1:55.46).
 

In the boysÕ 13-14 200 free relay, Ethan Vaca, Richard Deng, Allan Wang and James Wu placed sixth and set a new team record (1:39.85).

 

In the girlsÕ 15-19 200 Medley Relay, Shawnee Gundry, Anna Marshall, Serena Deardorff and Megan Lydzinski placed second (1:50.33).

X-Cel provides a comprehensive youth swimming program for all levels of competitive swimming, from novice to National level athlete.
